My Very Personal Bio Hacking Testimony
I would like to begin by telling you that I am not a physician, and this is not medical advice. However, what I am about to share with you is part of my own Bio Hacking Journey. It is Deeply Personal and Very True.
It was in December 2023 when I first heard about Bio Hacking. Needless to say, but I was just a little bit sceptical; I heard the word Bio Hacking, and my mind goes strait into Sci-Fi mode. But what I am about to share with you is not Science Fiction but Science Facts. I can say without a doubt that brān® has completely changed my life. In 2017 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Esophageal Cancer. The odds of surviving 5 more years were low’ there was only a 30 percent chance to make it and that was after the chemotherapy, radiation, and the surgery. But deep down I felt like God wasn’t ready to call me home yet. So I prayed a lot, and I had such a positive feeling that I never once felt like the end was near.
The Positivity given to me from my faith in God and prayer, lots of prayers, has led me here to say that, as of December 2023, I have been cancer-free for 5 years. Don’t get me wrong, I am beyond thankful and grateful to be around to give this testimonial, but these past 5 years have been far less than great. I had to take Chemotherapy and Radiation to shrink the mass before I had surgery to remove the tumor. Not to mention that I volunteered for a 1-year study involving a form of immunotherapy. There were a lot of unexpected side effects from having my body endure so much.
“BRAIN FOG IS A THING OF THE PAST”
Let’s go for a little trip back to 2018, this is when I began to really notice how bad the decline in my cognitive abilities were, it was as if I was in a fog. It was like knowing that I knew the answer to something, but it was not coming to mind as fast as it should, and sometimes not coming to mind at all. Now I knew that Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy had some pretty unpleasant side effects, but I had no idea the side effects included cognitive decline. I was having an extremely hard time focusing, concentrating, and remembering things. Some qualities of life are not as good as they were before my bout with Cancer; they mostly consist of my changing my eating habits and being sure to sleep on a 30-degree incline. But as I mentioned earlier, I didn’t think cognitive issues fell under that category.
I finally talked to my Doctor about the issues I was having, and this is when I discovered that I was suffering from something he called Brain Fog. This is a side effect of both Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy, which many experience relief within a few months post-treatment.
